SAMSARA
Saṃsāra (Sanskrit संसार): “the cycle of death and rebirth to which life in the material world is bound”
Samsara, the endless cycle of life and death, broken only by achieving nirvana, becomes the soul of this photography project.
Monks give life to the stone and become immortal figures.
They merge together with the temples’ texture; becoming the sacred symbol of the Khmer empire and Buddhism.
This is portrayed in the thousand faces of Bayon, through the stories of Angkor Wat and into the carvings of Angkor Thom ancient city.
